My Favourite Albums & Songs of 2009
One of the things I’m pleased I did in 2009 was to rediscover my love of music. This year I got my turntable fixed after 2 years of planning to do it which made me fall in love with the songs of the 70s 80s and 90s all over again. I along with most of the UK discovered Spotify and sharing playlists.
In the spirit of sharing here are my favourite songs and albums of 2009.
My Favourite Albums of 2009
- xx by The XX
A proper album album, wonderful songs that just fit so well together, simple and brilliant - Sigh No More by Mumford & Sons
Bar brawling goodness - Brief History of Love by The Big Pink
- Lungs by Florence and the Machine
2009 was the year of the album and this was fantastic example - It’s Blitz! by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs
It just rocks - West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum by Kasbian
- First Days of Spring by Noah and the Whale
Folky loveliness
Thanks to Alex Hill, Kate Curtis and many others for introducing me to the songs above
